Every now and then I like to throw out my Spotify playlists on social media (not now my blog page), because it’s so clear the message God is trying to send my way.

This was my playlist this morning as I dropped off my kids and drove into work:
King of Heaven - Charlie Hall
Home Run - Geoff Moore and the Distance
Whispers in the Dark - Skillet
Away from You - OC Supertones
The Battle is the Lord’s - Rebecca St. James
Because He Loves Us - AC the Future
Trust in Jesus - Third Day
First off - how AMAZING is that rundown? Super eclectic mix, 7 songs, not one sounding like the other, yet all awesome songs.
But more importantly, all 7 songs, as varied as they are, ultimately had the same message:
•No matter where I go, the power and beauty of God’s presence and love is all I need
•And since that’s the case, every moment should be about declaring His glory and His Gospel
As it says in Hebrews 12:
“But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.””
(Hebrews 12:22-24, 28-29 NIV)
Or in Acts 4 after hearing the testimony of Peter and John:
“When (the Church) heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God.
“Sovereign Lord,” they said, “you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.
After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.”
(Acts 4:24, 31 NIV)
God is with you today. That’s enough! And since you, my fellow believers, have Him, and since you, my fellow believers, know that the world needs to acknowledge His glory and trust His Gospel, what do you have to lose!
God sent that message to me loud and clear today - and my guess is, He wanted you to hear it too - LIVE FOR HIS GLORY AND GOSPEL TODAY!!!
